So a lot has happened since my last post. To squeeze everything in, I'll try to just hit the highlights.
First off, I went back to work on August 2, but only 3 days a week. Sta Home is a great place to work and they are super family friendly! Hayden even got to spend the afternoon in my office with me one day! It is so great being able to be home with her, even if it's just part time. She stays with a friend of ours from church so I know she's in good hands. This is a picture of her first day of "school".
We had our 2 month check-up on August 9th. She weighed 10lbs, 6 oz and was in the 50th percentile on weight, length and head circumfrence. Pretty good for a premie! She also got her first round of immunizations and did great with it. She cried a bit but stopped as soon as I picked her up. She ran a slight fever later that night and slept a good bit that day but was back to her normal self the next day. We go back on October 14th for her next check up and immunizations and back to the cardiologist for an ECHO on the 21st. Praying this next ECHO will show total and complete healing, just like Jehovah Rophe healed the first one.
Our friend and great photographer, Ryan Wade took some professional pictures of Hayden in early August. He was so patient with her even though she either wanted to sleep or scream! Here are a few of my favorite shots...
He also got a cute picture of Hayden and her BFF (and his daughter) Katie Ryan cheering on their BULLDOGS! They are too cute and so smart already!
Speaking of the Bulldogs, Jeff and I took Hayden on her first trip to the Golden Triangle area. We started out in Columbus on a tour of MUW. Jeff took a few pictures during our walk.
We also went to the Lock and Dam and spent a good part of the afternoon joy riding around Columbus reliving the past and realizing how much things have changed. As dinner time came around we made our way back to Starkville for dinner at Harvey's. Oh how I've missed that restaurant! The next day we did some shopping and a quick tour of MSU but it was just TOO HOT to really explore the campus, however, Hayden was still decked out in her bulldog gear!
Hayden has had a lot of "firsts" over the last few months as well. Here are a few we have been able to capture on film...
